The idea of the Poetry Kiosk is to present a place in which the poet, the author, can share his or her work in a definite public space, set up for that purpose. This might be a bus stop, a phone booth, or any public location. The poet, or writer, may distribute their work in the form of paper documents, spoken word or, as I do, in the form of poems formatted to video.
ATM (Art Transfer Machine)
The use of an ATM machine to display a selection of video poetry creates an experience close to an everyday encounter with something familiar.
